ETA#31 at Nahcotta Gallery

My latest series of paintings on board are now available at Nahcotta Gallery in Portsmouth, NH as part of their ‘Enormous Tiny Art’ show. ETA runs semi-annually, and all of the works are under 10”x10”, so you know, tiny! The show features my ‘Folk Floral’ series, all gouache and gold ink on paper mounted on cradled board. The Folk Florals are inspired by American and Scandinavian folk art, featuring simplified shapes, bold color and the occasional pop of gold or neon. I love working on these small pieces, they present different challenges than some of my larger works, mostly in keeping things simple and finding the right balance between figure and ground.
